The basic principle of any solid confidence training program is to help you prove to yourself that you can create the life you want.

If you can prove to yourself that you can create the life you want, over and over again, then you’re going to feel the confidence that comes from it.

Think about it: if you set yourself a goal and you prove to yourself over and over again that you can achieve that goal then you’re confidence is going to go through the roof.

If you set yourself a goal and fail to achieve it over and over again then how’s your confidence going to be then?

Sure, you could use affirmations or visualisations as confidence training tools. They can be successful in temporarily boosting your confidence, but until you prove to yourself, over and over again that you an achieve what you desire, you’re never going have the confidence you desire.

So, here is confidence training in three easy steps:

1) Work out what life you want to create
2) Break it down into challenging but achievable steps
3) Achieve those steps.

Pretty straight forward, right? Well, it might seem like that on the surface but there’s an underlying layer that you need to be aware of if you want to get the most out of your confidence training.

There are two very distinct types of goals you can set and the one you choose is going to determine just how effective your confidence training is.

Those two types of goals are outcome and action focused goals.

Outcome focused goals are goals where the success criteria is achieving a specific outcome. These include: seducing a woman, getting a promotion, winning a race. There’s nothing inherently wrong with these kinds of goals but they do pose a specific limitation.

If you use outcome focused goals as the basis for your confidence training then you’re forever going to have to achieve specific outcomes to experience the levels of confidence you require. Sounds fine on the surface until you consider one thing: you can never guarantee that you’re going to achieve a specific outcome.

There are both internal and external factors involved in you achieving a specific outcome. You have to be the kind of Man a woman is attracted to in order for you to seduce her. You have to have the qualifications necessary and be more suitable than any other candidate to get the promotion. You have to run faster than any other participant to with the race.

There are factors involved in achieving a specific outcome that are out of your control. If you confidence training is based on factors that are out of your control then your level of confidence will always be out of your control.

Action focused goals are goals whose success criteria is whether or not you choose to undertake a specific action. These can include expressing how you feel to a woman, working as powerfully and effectively as you can, and running with perfect technique throughout the entire race.

The only barrier you will face with action focused goals is your willingness to do what you said you would. Your ability to achieve the goals you’ve set, and to experience the level of confidence that come from achieving those goals, is entirely in your control.

How good would you feel if you woke up every day and you knew that you had complete control over how you felt on that day?

How different would your month be?

How different would your life be?
